the work of Carl Jung and the research of Dr. Patricia Cranton and Dr. Robert Knoop.

- Is purchasing further upgrades required?
- No, since P.E.T. is a Web-based product no upgrades
are required – updates to the product happen automatically.
- What research has been done to prove this program works?
- Based on Carl Jung's Theory of Psychological Type, the development and
testing of the P.E.T. Type Check took place over the past decade by Drs. Patricia Cranton and
Robert Knoop. Read the complete Validity and Background document online.
- How does P.E.T. Learning Styles Solution compare to other learning styles programs such as Myers Briggs?
- P.E.T. offers several benefits that other learning
styles assessment tools do not. Since P.E.T. is a Web-based data management
tool and not paper-based, information can be tabulated and correlated with just a click of a
button.
P.E.T. and Myers Briggs Type Instrument are both based on
Carl Jung's theory of psychological type. In assessing psychological type,
P.E.T. keeps with Carl Jung's theory, ensuring attitudes and functions,
introversion and extraversion are not measured separately. Jung was clear that every person
possess some of each of the psychological type characteristics. P.E.T. also
does not require an either/or response. The Type Check statements are
responded to with a choice of five responses, ranging from a strong 'yes' to a strong 'no'.
P.E.T. offers a profile rather than a label, and includes the option of
viewing your personalized graph. The graph allows you to view the strength of your preferences
and view the differentiation between your dominant and auxiliary functions.
P.E.T. also has resources for development growth.
